Golden Associates is the Landscape Architect on a new 10-classroom, multi-purpose building and playground renovation at the existing Montclair Elementary School in the City of Oakland
Our scope of work includes: a green roof, a community garden, outdoor classrooms and a bioswale, which have been included to promote the goals of a California High Performance School. Working closely with an active parents group, the Community Garden also includes an activity center, planters, compost, sink, tool storage, a greenhouse and an outdoor classroom, further promoting the educational goals.

Golden Associates was responsible for new retaining walls, play structures, playground stripping, site furnishings, planting, irrigation and material selections which were responsive to district concerns about safety, low maintenance, low water-use, climate mitigation, and potential opportunities for integration into education, as well as arts and crafts programs. |
