RIVERHILL PARK
BENICIA, CA
Based upon the Capitol Heights Master Plan, Riverhill Park is a 1.5-acre park designed for the Capitol Heights Housing Project and the Community at large. During construction, large boulders were found on site and field-placed to minimize off-hauling cost and improve the project. Plant material was selected based upon low-maintenance, drought-tolerance and seasonal interest.

The design elements included a large multi-purpose grass area, a play structure for children ages 6 through 12 years old, pedestrian site circulation, new parking area, maintenance vehicular access, a meditation garden and site furnishings.
Golden Associates’ responsibilities included design team lead, project management, layout, construction detailing, planting, irrigation and lighting. A built-in seat wall was provided as a social gathering area, overlooking a view of Mt. Diablo.
